Miya Rioux

After studying CAD Drafting for three years and architectural design for one year at the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical School, Miya Rioux is continuing her education in Interior Design at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.

Miya has completed a one-year residential interior design internship at SV Design, Siemasko + Verbridge, in Beverly, MA. She was enamored with the knowledge and experience she gained working in the field. Miya believes lighting design helps accentuate architecture and interior design, defining a building's character and focusing on what inhabitants see and experience: "Lighting sets the mood; it doesn't just stand as a way to improve function, but it creates the experiences we have walking through any space."
